Environmentally Credible Printing
Sustainability is the capacity to endure, it is about stabilising the currently disruptive relationship between earth’s two most complex systems—human culture and the living world. At Pureprint Group we believe that measuring your environmental impact is the right thing to do.
Mitigating that impact through best practice reduces your environmental footprint and saves money. We’ve been measuring, mitigating, reducing and offsetting since the early nineties, long before it was fashionable. We believe that we are the most environmentally managed printing business in the UK. Our commitment to EMAS and ISO 14001 was once again rewarded with the PrintWeek - Environmental Printer of the Year 2010 for the third time within the last 10 years.
Our awareness and commitment has led to the development of a unique technology designed to reduce the impact of printing on the environment and exceed the requirements of our Environmental Management System, ISO 14001 and EMAS. The new developments in digital printing allow us to produce highly focused, short-run items that reach their audience with the minimum of wasted resources.
Every day, our commitment to best practice allows us to help our clients reduce their environmental footprint, we look at how our processes can ideally serve you, making sure we maintain and upgrade our services constantly. So it’s only right that we also take onboard how our business and yours affects the environment. We work hard to keep our carbon emissions low and offset the remainder by supporting a methane capture project.

Communicating Your Environmental Message
Statements and logos can be combined together and personalised to reflect your brand values and the design of your project and emphasise the environmental credentials that you we have used to produce your publication.
Here’s an example of a recent imprint used for Fidelity:
The printing inks used for this report are made from vegetable based oils and 95% of cleaning solvents are recycled for further use. The electricity was all generated from renewable sources and on average 87% of any waste associated with the production will be recycled. Printed using pureprint® environmental print technology by a CarbonNeutral® company, registered to the Environmental Management System, ISO 14001 and EMAS, the Eco Management and Audit Scheme.
The FSC logo identifies products which contain wood from well-managed forests certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council.
This document is printed on Revive 50:50, a paper containing 50% recovered fibre and 50% virgin fibre. Pulps used are elemental chlorine free, manufactured at a mill with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
The carbon emissions from the publication have been assessed and reduced with the remaining emissions offset in a carbon reduction project.
