* New 2,000 sq.ft. digital printing facility * Two HP Indigo press 5500s and dedicated finishing as well as web-to-print and variable data software * Pureprint's sustainable printing solutions now available for short to medium run printing projects Pureprint Group has announced an expansion of its sustainable printing solutions range with an investment in a new 2000 square foot digital printing department. Two HP Indigo press 5500s have been installed which combined with a dedicated finishing facility and the latest web-to-print and variable data software will deliver litho quality for on demand digital printing services and solutions. The new department has been integrated into the company's award winning pureprint(r) environmental management and colour management systems, ensuring their customers' corporate responsibility and brand integrity are upheld to the highest of standards. "This is the third and most exciting phase of our current investment programme", says Chief Executive Mark Handford. "It works on a number of levels - new products, reduced environmental footprint and more efficient and effective production. We can now produce medium and small runs on environmental papers with a 95% reduction in waste and a significant reduction in cost. We are now also able to offer customised marketing communications to well targeted audiences. This naturally results in higher response rates due to the quality of message and platform, thus making a real difference to our customers' bottom line." Aaron Archer, Group Technical Manager at Pureprint Group, who is heading up the new department, added: "This new department offers our customers digital print production in addition to the B2, B1 and fulfilment requirements that we traditionally service. Further to this it provides our diverse client base with new ways of communicating with their own customers through advanced marketing technologies. "Web-to-print systems have matured to the point where they are simple to deploy, allowing our customers to be more effective with their marketing materials through customisation. At the same time VDP (variable data printing) software allows organisations to communicate on a truly one-to-one level, to increase response rates, strengthen customer relationships or facilitate cross-selling." "The range of equipment, software and people we now have really enables us to offer an excellent service to our customers. The HP Indigo presses are producing some challenging work alongside corporate and marketing materials in short runs. For the Fine Art market we have already produced some fantastic work on demanding papers, and for the publishing market we are working on some snappy picture personalised direct mail campaigns." All Pureprint's digital printing as its litho printing will be carbon neutral with carbon emissions reduced to a minimum and those remaining offset by investing in certified emission reduction credits in global renewable energy projects.
