Pure Litho
The litho printing process is not new, but the technology around this process is constantly evolving. To ensure we are able to give our customers the maximum advantage, we have followed an exciting policy of continual investment in plant and equipment which has made us one of the most modern and well-equipped sheet-fed litho printing plants in the UK. We have clients across the full range of sectors and have experience in producing every conceivable product for them. Our latest investment in pre-press equipment has enabled us to further enhance the quality and service our clients can expect from us.
We have won over 60 awards for quality in the last 10 years and are the current PrintWeek Awards Fine Art Printer of the Year, Book Printer of the Year and Environmental Print Company of the Year. Additionally, it has just been announced that we have been shortlisted in 7 categories this year, which has never been achieved before, they are Digital, Book, Magazine, Fine Art, Report and Accounts, Brochure and the highly sought after Company of the Year!
Please look through the following examples which will give a good overview of some typical products:
-
Financial Printing
- Combined in-house litho and digital production
- A range of finishing and binding techniques
- Operate on a 24-hour basis
- No fail guarantee
- Technology solutions that streamline production
Since 12 of the key ex-Paterson staff joined our group in 2009 we have continued to develop the services we offer financial institutions who have a requirement for time critical production of documents and research.
Our combination of in-house litho and digital production coupled with dedicated in-house finishing to cover the range of binding techniques, from wirobinding and saddle stitching through to Perfect or PUR binding, all operating on a 24-hour basis enables us to react and offer the service and no fail guarantee which is so critical in this sector.
With our ambition to look for technology solutions that help to streamline production processes, we have set up a number of pre-press and production workflow systems which strip out time and cost from the process.

Graphic Arts Print
- Eye Magazine
- Short grain paper with PUR binding
- Added texture and protection coatings
- Print quality adds to creativity
Eye magazine is known as The International Review of Graphic Design and has a global circulation.
Working closely with the publishers, each edition is finely crafted using a combination of papers, processes and inks so that the printing process adds to the creativity of the writing and the design to produce a magazine of the highest quality for the discerning graphic designer. Gloss, matt and uncoated papers are used as well as silk lamination, sheer and gloss coatings, all of which add texture and protection. Short grain paper and PUR binding combine to make the page turning an even more enjoyable experience.

Corporate Identity Management
- Strong colour management
- Brand integrity maintained
- Online templating and stock management
- Across both litho and digital processes
Towers Watson was formed following the merger of Towers Perrin and Watson Wyatt in January of 2010. They are a leading global professional services company that helps organisations improve performance through effective people, risk and financial management.
We have been a print provider for Watson Wyatt since 2007 and following the merger were selected as the supplier to handle the rebrand in the EMEA region. Our strong colour management capabilities and the guarantee that we would generate their new stationery and marketing materials to exacting standards and then ensure that brand integrity was maintained, were the primary deciding factors. In addition our ability to link together an online templating solution, with a stock management system and then to produce work across litho and digital output devices, were strong contributing factors. -
Exceptional Print Quality
- Toni & Guy catalogue
- 300lpi Litho process
- Soft matt coat feel and image sharpness
Toni & Guy approached us to produce their annual collections book which contained 300pp + cover. This needed to be produced to the highest possible quality to highlight the detail in the high resolution photography.
We advised a 300lpi litho print process on our latest Heidelberg XL105 press, which can print up to six colours in line, but importantly has a coating unit. We produced a set of scatter proofs for the customer to demonstrate the quality which would be achieved but also to demonstrate the difference between a matt and a silk coating. In the end the matt coat was selected; the soft feel of the pages whilst retaining the sharpness of the images was ideal.

Annual Reports
- Outstanding reputation
- Superb print quality
- Print for 27 of FTSE 100
- Experienced staff
- Personal hands-on approach
Our reputation as one of the leading printers in the Annual Report and Accounts market has been building steadily for decades. Our continued growth in this unique discipline is due largely to recommendations from within the business and design communities as a result of our reliability, experience and service.
The superb print quality of an Annual Report is something we believe our clients should be able to take for granted. It is something that we work tirelessly to achieve and our attention to quality is why we were voted the PrintWeek Annual Report printer of 2009 and followed that up with a High Commendation in 2010.
A good reputation leads to continued success in attracting new clients and we now print Annual Reports for 27 of the FTSE 100 companies and for over 50 companies within the FTSE 250. Our investment in new digital technology also allows us to offer AIM-listed companies a cost-effective print solution without compromise on either quality or service.
We realise that different companies operate in different ways. The Annual Report project may be run by the Financial Director, Company Secretary or the Corporate Communications Team. You may employ a design agency or run the design process in house. In reality, it may be that several departments and outside agents have a stake in the Annual Report. Pureprint understands this and has staff with the experience to offer solutions as the project progresses.
The production of an Annual Report can be a complex and time consuming process for all those involved which is why we work as part of your team to get things done quickly, accurately and efficiently.
We also know that the personalisation, fulfilment and postage of the documents are crucial elements of the project. We employ specialists within this field to ensure your Annual Report is enclosed and mailed in the most cost-effective manner. We have saved our clients tens of thousands of pounds in postage costs by recommending innovative solutions. We believe that this level of expertise is why so many of the country’s leading companies trust Pureprint to talk to their registrars directly and to project manage the entire personalisation, fulfilment and mailing of their documents.
