This month we accompanied Walpole, the British Luxury Association to their annual New York trade delegation and luxury showcase. The trade delegation is designed to promote Anglo-American political, business and media relations in this key export market for British Luxury and Pureprint were proud to attend, as a Walpole strategic partner.
Throughout the 3 days we attended many events including on the final day the British Luxury Showroom held at the Glasshouses to promote British luxury brands to the US media. These events are designed around strengthening the close relationship between the British luxury industry and the US whilst promoting the members of Walpole which includes over 250 British brands including Mulberry, Harrods and Bentley as well as many smaller and up and coming luxury brands.
Our Managing Director Richard Osborne commented “British luxury clearly still resonates with the US market. It was great to see so many emerging brands doing as we have at Pureprint, having the confidence to take their products and services to New York and getting in front of potential clients.”
Richard continued, “It’s always great to spend time with people who want to grow their business and fly the flag for the UK. You can’t help but leave feeling positive”.
Walpole is the official sector body for UK luxury founded in 1992 as a not-for-profit organisation, it counts more than 250 British brands in its membership and is recognised in both Westminster and Brussels. As the voice of British luxury, Walpole’s purpose is to promote, protect and develop a sector worth £48 billion to the UK economy and the jewel in the crown of UK business.
