Modern Slavery Statement

This Modern Slavery Statement is made in compliance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps Pureprint has taken during the financial year ending 31st December 2024 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains.

Introduction

At Pureprint, we are committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking do not take place in any part of our business or supply chains. Modern slavery is a crime and a serious violation of human rights, encompassing slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are dedicated to acting ethically, with integrity and transparency in all our business dealings.

Our Business

Pureprint operates as a leading provider of print and fulfilment services, with a turnover exceeding £36 million. Our operations involve working with a broad range of suppliers and partners both in the UK and internationally. We are committed to maintaining high standards of ethical conduct throughout our supply chains.

Policies and Governance

Our approach to tackling modern slavery is underpinned by robust policies and procedures, including a Modern Slavery Policy that sets out our zero-tolerance approach and expectations for employees and suppliers, a Code of Conduct that guides ethical behaviour across all aspects of our business, and a Whistleblowing Policy that ensures employees can report concerns confidentially and without fear of reprisal. The board of directors has overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with this statement, with Bridget Tucker (HR Director) leading day-to-day implementation and monitoring.

Risk Assessment and Due Diligence

We recognise that certain parts of our operations and supply chains may be more susceptible to risks of modern slavery. To address this, we conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential areas of concern, undertake due diligence on new and existing suppliers, including assessing their policies and practices, and include contractual obligations for suppliers to adhere to anti-slavery principles and expect them to enforce the same standards within their supply chains.

Training and Communication

We provide regular training to ensure our staff understand how to identify and respond to potential cases of modern slavery. This includes guidance on recognising exploitation and reporting concerns. We also communicate our zero-tolerance approach to suppliers, contractors, and business partners.

Measuring Effectiveness

To measure the effectiveness of our efforts, we track and review supplier audits and assessments, training sessions completed by employees, and reports of potential issues raised and resolved. We are committed to continuous improvement and will regularly update our processes and practices to strengthen our response to modern slavery risks.

Raising Concerns

This statement will be reviewed and updated annually. It represents our ongoing commitment to transparency and ethical conduct in all aspects of our business. We encourage all employees, suppliers, and stakeholders to raise any concerns about potential modern slavery or human trafficking within our business or supply chains. Concerns can be raised via our Whistleblowing Policy or directly to a line manager. Alternatively, you can contact the UK Modern Slavery Helpline at 0800 0121 700.

Compliance and Enforcement

We take breaches of this statement seriously. Employees found to be in breach may face disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Suppliers and business partners who fail to meet our standards may face termination of contracts and relationships.

This statement was reviewed and approved by the board of directors in January 2025.
