GF Smith – Geltex Swatch

The brief

GF Smith launched Geltex, a tactile, characterful paper range designed to be felt as much as seen. They needed a swatch that did the range justice. Simple on the surface, but technically spot-on. Something designers would want to pick up, keep, and actually use.

 

What we delivered

We worked closely with the GF Smith team to produce and manufacture the new Geltex swatch from start to finish, including:

– Printing all individual swatch elements to exacting standards

– Collating and manufacturing the complete swatch set

– Utilising GF Smith Colorplan to produce an eye-catching packaging sleeve – strong enough to protect, colourful enough to stand out, and tactile enough to remind you why paper matters.

Every detail mattered. Colour, texture, alignment, finish. The end result is a swatch that properly represents Geltex in the real world, not just on screen.

 

Capturing the process

During production, GF Smith visited our site to capture the construction of the swatch – specifically looking at how Colorplan paper was used to make the swatch’s sleeve. The behind-the-scenes content has since generated millions of views, giving designers a rare look at how a premium paper swatch comes together.  See the video here.

 

The result

A clean, confident specification tool that showcases Geltex exactly as intended. Thoughtful design, precise production, and a finished piece that feels as good as it looks.
