Made In Italy NYC Exhibition
We were honoured to contribute to the Made In Italy NYC exhibition in New York, bringing elements of the exhibition to life by printing posters created by 17 different artists. These posters, displayed as part of the event, were available for attendees to take home. They were housed in a bespoke printed display unit, with each design in its own open-topped box, neatly arranged in the outer unit.
Supported by Fedrigoni and Monotype, the posters and display units were expertly printed on Fedrigoni materials.
About the Exhibition
The exclusive event at One Art Space, designed by Sea and Pentagram, celebrated the beauty of Italian graphic design and its enduring relationship with the U.S., where typography reached transcendent levels.
Made In Italy NYC, brought to life as a book publication and exhibition, focuses on the post-war period when Italy and the U.S. simultaneously became “promised lands” for business, industry, and design.
The one-off exhibition featured original pieces from significant and influential Italian designers produced between the 1950s and 1970s, many of which had never been seen before.
Together, they offer “a celebration of all things Made in Italy, exploring the rich and untapped vein of Italian graphic design with rarely seen and published work,” says Sea founder Bryan Edmondson.
Feedback From Sea
“The support given by Pureprint to print and package the limited edition posters by the seventeen contributors for the event was incredibly efficient. They were lovely to work with; nothing was too much trouble.” – Sea
