Madonna – Provoke Limited Edition

For this project we worked with NJG Studio to help bring Provoke to life, a beautifully curated limited edition publication documenting Peter Anderson’s complete Madonna archive from 1983.

Limited to just 500 copies worldwide, the book was conceived as a true collector’s piece, blending iconic photography, storytelling and highly crafted print production into something designed to be experienced as much as read.

About the book

The 156-page publication features thread sewn binding, handmade ebony hardback covers wrapped in GF Smith Colorplan, brilliant white high gloss foil debossing, surface mounted original darkroom exposure tests from 1983, and signed, stamped and numbered inserts.

Produced in close collaboration with NJG Studio, the project brought together specialist print manufacturing, hand finishing and premium bookmaking to create an object that feels tactile, immersive and deeply considered throughout.

The publication includes a tribute to our colleague Sam Adams, whose craftsmanship and attention to detail contributed to many projects produced alongside NJG Studio over the years.

A brilliant example of how thoughtful curation, design and craftsmanship can elevate print into something genuinely collectible.
